UrbanMetaMapping (UMM) brings together scholars from different countries and of different academic backgrounds to examine war damage maps of European cities as an interdisciplinary historical source. This image video presents the research of the UMM Transfer Team.
"Mapping and Transforming: An interdisciplinary analysis of city maps as a visual medium of urban transformation in Central and Eastern Europe, 1939–1949" (UrbanMetaMapping) is a research consortium (2020–2024) funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space as part of the "Small disciplines - strong together" programme. The main phase of the project is now followed by a transfer phase of one year. The transfer phase focuses on dissemination and networking in the field of spatial analysis on historical maps.
