Celebrating a new start: The Virtual Ukraine Institute for Advanced Study

Inauguration of the Virtual Ukraine Institute for Advanced Study: VUIAS was founded in 2023 by the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin in cooperation with partner institutions from the US, Europe and Ukraine. Its purpose is to support scholars in Ukraine and Ukrainian scholars who had to leave the country, thus working against the massive brain drain that results from the Russian invasion.
