“Sozioprudenz – Sozial klug handeln”
which was recently published by the Campus-Verlag.
The event will take place online on Tuesday, October 27 at 6:00pm (CET).
Jurisprudence is the wise application of the law. There is no textbook for jurisprudence. Its art is taught informally by practitioners as they apply the law in practice.
Socioprudence is the wise application of the findings of sociology. So far, sociological teaching has imparted the theory of gift exchange in detail, but the question of how to give an appropriate gift has seldom been discussed. Sociological theory is familiar with innumerable variants of intermediary positions – mediator, arbitrator, deputy, representative – but it has rarely shown us how to use these insights in mediation or representation.
In dialog with Werner Gephart, Clemens Albrecht will present the first textbook on socioprudence that was developed using an academic teaching background for the purpose of educating others. The book presents sociological teaching material in the form of a guidebook.

Jurisprudenz ist die kluge Anwendung des Rechts. Es gibt kein Lehrbuch für Jurisprudenz. Diese Kunstlehre wird informell von Praktikern in der Praxis der Rechtsanwendung vermittelt.
Sozioprudenz ist die kluge Anwendung von Erkenntnissen der Soziologie. In der soziologischen Lehre wurde bislang die Theorie des Gabentausches detailliert vermittelt, aber die Frage, wie man ein angemessenes Geschenk macht, selten einbezogen. Die soziologische Theorie kennt unzählige Varianten intermediärer Positionen – Vermittler, Schiedsrichter, Stellvertreter, Repräsentant –, hat aber selten gelehrt, wie man diese Erkenntnisse in der Vermittlung oder Repräsentation einsetzt.
Im Dialog mit Werner Gephart stellt Clemens Albrecht das erste Lehrbuch für Sozioprudenz vor, das aus der akademischen Lehre für die Lehre entwickelt wurde und soziologischen Lehrstoff in Form eines Ratgebers präsentiert.
