Become an expert for the EU Commission

The EU Commission is looking for SSH experts to review EU proposals in order to ensure the inclusion of social sciences and humanities in future international research projects.

In view of the upcoming 2026/27 work programme, the European Commission is increasingly looking for scientists to review EU proposals. The WP 2026/27 once again offers a wide range of topics in the social sciences and humanities.

According to the Horizon Europe Regulation, the European Commission provides for the integration of social sciences and humanities (SSH integration) in international research projects: Not only in Cluster 2 "Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society", but also in the other clusters of the second funding pillar, the appropriate expertise with a special focus on this perspective is needed in the context of the required SSH integration.
