VIDEO: Stocktake: Need for action on fossil fuel subsidy reform & shifting of other public financial flows

Shifting financial flows from fossil to clean energy is critical for Paris targets. But stocktaking shows little success to date. In particular, fossil fuel subsidies skyrocketed in 2022. This event will call for renewed momentum & propose specific actions for reform despite turbulent energy prices.

The conference was broadcast live on YouTube on June 10, 2023.

Speakers: 
In addition to an IISD speaker, there is support from government officials from New Zealand and Switzerland as well as of partners from UNDP, UNEP, IEA and a consortium of academic partners that includes ETH-Z, IDOS, UCLA, WRI, HSG to speak at the event.
