In the context of the German EU Council presidency conference “Revitalising Democracy in Times of Division” KoWi offers a two-hour satellite event for early career researchers from the Social Sciences and Humanities, informing about the funding schemes e.g. of the European Research Council (ERC) and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowships (MSCA-IF) within the European Framework Programme. Target audience are potential applicants from the Social Sciences and Humanities holding a PhD or equivalent, planning to submit an application with a German host institution.
The participants will get information about the European Framework Programme, the general principles of the ERC, the MSCA and the different application processes. Additionally they will receive tips for proposal writing and information about support offers within Germany.
About the ERC:
The ERC selects and funds the best, creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based in Europe. It offers four core grant schemes: Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy Grants.
KoWi is part of the National Contact Point ERC (NCP ERC) in Germany.
About the MSCA-IF:
The MSCA Individual Fellowships are awarded to promising researchers of any nationality, for employment in Europe. The MSCA Individual Fellowship is based on an application made jointly by the researcher and a host institution with the goal to enhance creative potential and to diversify individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training and international mobility.
